SoWal Homeschoolers began gathering together in the fall of 2024. We offer safe, fun, and engaging elective courses for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high-school homeschooled students in South Walton County, Florida.

You are welcome here. We understand the need to fit in within a homeschool group that provides support, encouragement, and a network of like-minded individuals who understand the unique challenges and rewards of homeschooling.

Participate.

You are unique and offer something. Teach what you are passionate about to a classroom of students, sign up to help assist with a class, plan a field trip, or activity. We are not a drop off program and rely on you.

A Bit More About SWH

What do you offer?

We host classes in the Fall and Spring semesters. We meet every other Tuesday for enrichment courses and every other Wednesday (the same week) for Jesus centered learning and worship. We also meet multiple times a month for field trips, parties, outings, and fun!

Do you have dates and information?

We will be meeting 9/8, 9/9, 9/22, 9/23, 10/6, 10/7. 10/20, 10/21, 11/3, 11/4, 11/17, 11/18, 1/12, 1/13, 1/26, 1/27, 2/9, 2/10, 2/23, 2/24, 3/9, 3/10, 3/23, 3/24. We are also introducing a family-based “stair-step” pricing model with the current rates: $275 for one student, $305 for two students, $335 family maximum.

Can you explain how a Tuesday operates?

On Tuesday , we offer morning announcements & breakfast bites before starting our three class blocks. The day runs from 9:00 AM- 12:25. We also offer lunch options for those that want to eat together as well as after co-op clubs and activities.

How do I register?

Registration opens for our 2026-2027 year for returning families on July 1. New families registration will open July 7. We require all families to complete a family application. Please, be aware all participating adults must complete a background search for the safety of our families..

What are Wednesday Midweeks like?

Midweek Wednesday is a Christian centered gathering for homeschool families. We will meet from 10-12 every other week for student led worship, a message, and classes that help us all be more like Jesus. We can’t wait to see what the Lord does!

How can I support So Wal Homechoolers?

We deeply appreciate prayers, most of all! We also accept donations, volunteers, and host fundraisers through the year. We currently are offering SoWal Homeschoolers shirts with all profits going towards location fees, and class supplies. Get your merchandise here.
